Can you believe it’s February already?  According to Groundhog Phil, there will be six more weeks of winter.  And February is already proving to be a very interesting month… The Week In Review is chock-full-o-nuts, er, news.

An anti-abortion ad by Randall Terry has been intercepted and will not play during the Super Bowl.  Hooray for a fetus-free Super Bowl!

Pfizer recalled more than 1 million birth control packets because of a packaging error, leaving some users at risk for pregnancy.  While this is terrible news, I hope it encourages people to use condoms, which protect against pregnancy as well as STDs and HIV.  In light of this, Sir Richard’s will donate a free 12-pack of condoms to those in need.

There may be a new birth control option for men.  It just involves some zapping.  NBD.

On Wednesday, the Washington State Senate approved a bill to legalize same-sex marriage.  Next, it moves onto the House, which is expected to pass it.

Unless you live under a rock, you are well aware that the breast cancer organization giant, Susan G. Komen, cut off hundreds of thousands of dollars to Planned Parenthood after caving-in to anti-abortion activists.  After a great deal of public outcry and much lying in attempts to cover their behinds, today, they reversed that decision.  Komen is still full of shit.

Who will you be rooting for during the big game this Sunday?  Regardless of who wins, it will benefit HIV/AIDS organizations.  The largest organizations in Boston and NYC have made a $1,000 bet to go toward donations.

Have a wonderful weekend full of dip and chips.  Be sure to check my blog on Monday for exciting news!

P.S.  Here’s to online advocacy.  #Winning
